About Us

Roleta BJJ is a friendly and welcoming Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club in Birmingham that welcomes people of all age groups and abilities – from beginner right through to expert.

The club was founded by BJJ legend and four times world champion Roberto Roleta Magalhaes, with the aim of introducing BJJ to the UK and providing a safe and fun environment in which to learn this exciting martial art.

Learning BJJ combines a recognised form of self-defence with a fantastic way to keep fit and meet new people. We run a variety of different classes to suit all skill and experience levels, as well as women-only classes, so you can be assured of finding a BJJ class that suits you. Special classes for children of all ages also take place at Roleta BJJ and you can be assured that your kids will be taught by fully trained professionals in a clean and safe environment.

All of our experienced instructors are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts and have passed all relevant police checks, hold full professional training qualifications and are covered by comprehensive public indemnity insurance.
